Whether you are hoping to better understand class structure, make connections with faculty and current students, or get a feel for campus culture - visiting campus is the best way to find out if Bard Center for Environmental Policy is the right fit for you. When you register for a campus visit, our Bard Graduate Programs in Sustainability admissions staff work with you to customize an on-campus experience when it is convenient for you. Your visit may include:
- Attending classes
- Having lunch with current students
- Meetings with faculty
- Taking a campus tour
When to Visit:
We want you to visit when it works best for you. However, there are some time frames and days of the week that will set you up for a more enjoyable experience. This visit gives applicants the opportunity to not only experience a residency for themselves, but to truly embed themselves into the community. Those who attend can expect to:

MBA Residency Visit

Attending a residency visit provides you the opportunity to better understand the Bard MBA weekend residency structure, make connections with faculty and current students, and get a feel for our community's culture. It is truly the best way to see if the Bard MBA in Sustainability is the right fit for you.
The December visit is particularly special, as it marks the end of semester as well as the annual Bard MBA in Sustainability internal pitch competition — Disrupt to Sustain (D2S). This year we are inviting applicants to attend the final round of the D2S competition on Sunday, December 21st, which is followed by the annual community holiday party.
During this visit, you can expect to:
- Attend classes
- Take part in a private meeting with Director Eban Goodstein
- Attend the final round of the D2S pitch competition
- Enjoy our annual holiday party with MBA community members
We will share the full schedule the week of your visit, including exact times. However, so that you can better plan, we are providing the general times below:
- Saturday, December 20th from 12:00pm to 8:30pm (Class visit)
- Sunday, December 21st from 4:30pm to 9:00pm (D2S + Holiday Party)*
*This is an approximation, the exact start time varies from year to year.
