Spring Sustainability Sunday at Superfine
Bard Alumni is teaming up with DUMBO’s Superfine for the first-ever Spring Sustainability Sunday, bringing together community members, entrepreneurs, and Bard MBA alumni for an afternoon of conversation and connection around sustainable food systems. This event will feature discussions on regenerative agriculture, local and sustainable food sourcing, and upcycling food waste, with insights from panelists and moderators representing AfterLife Ag, Renewal Mill, HiPhi Earth, and more. Guests can also enjoy a Climate-Smart Dinner Service for $35, which includes a complimentary beverage and tip. Whether you’re a sustainability advocate, a food industry professional, or simply curious about creating a more circular food system, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with experts and like-minded individuals in a welcoming, community-driven space. Join us at Superfine in DUMBO and be part of the conversation shaping the future of sustainable food (guests welcome)! Please note: Superfine will charge a $10 cover for guests arriving between 5–7 PM. To avoid the fee, we encourage you to join us earlier in the afternoon (see schedule below). Guests who have RSVP’d for the Climate Smart Dinner will not be charged beyond the $35 meal price, regardless of arrival time.

Accommodations
For those traveling in for the reunion, two hotel discounts are available - pay attention to cutoff dates!
Hampton Inn Brooklyn Downtown (Room Block) We have discounted rates available at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Brooklyn (a 12 minute walk to Jay St.) There are a limited number of rooms set aside on a first come first serve basis at the same rate extended to our faculty/staff. For the Reunion Weekend, the cut-off is 4/1/25. You are responsible for securing and paying for any bookings connected with the room block.Method of Reservation and Cut-off Date: Guests should call to make their reservations at 718.875.8800. Please ask for the group STUDENT rate for Bard MBA in Sustainability when calling in for reservations. Please call the Hotel directly prior to the cut-off date (4/1/25). After such date, the rooms will be released. Special requests will be based on availability. Guaranteed Reservations: Reservations must be guaranteed by major credit card. Should it become necessary to cancel an individual reservation, the guest must notify the hotel by 4:00pm 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty equal to the first night's room and tax charges. |
NU Hotel (Discount) If you do not wish to take advantage of the Hampton Inn room block, we have also secured a moderate discount rate at the NU Hotel in Brooklyn. You can use this link to book rooms at the corporate rate. The price point for these rooms is higher than the Hampton Inn and can be a good option for folks willing to share a room. Note that the rate includes breakfast, all-day coffee and sparkling water availability, access to the fitness center and NU bikes, and light snacks from 2-10pm daily. |
